Task Manager System

A structured planning system designed to reduce mental load by turning projects into explicit tasks, dependencies, priorities, and completion records.

Problem

Complex projects become difficult to manage when ideas, materials, decisions, and next actions live in different places. Important work can be forgotten, duplicated, or started before dependencies are ready.

System design

  • Each project receives a defined purpose and dedicated folder structure.
  • Tasks use IDs, sections, priorities, status, dependencies, estimated time, and completion notes.
  • A master planner can aggregate project tasks without removing ownership from the project itself.
  • Completed work remains recorded so future planning uses actual history rather than memory.

Tools

Excel workbooks, Python scripts, standardized project folders, and a planned dashboard/database interface.

Current result

The system already supports repeatable project creation and structured task tracking. The broader dashboard and AI-assisted planning layers remain an active development project and are not presented here as finished software.
